CPAP Storing and Maintenance

To keep your CPAP longer and get it to function every single time when you use it – whenever you need it, it is very important that you keep everything in place and maintain it every time it is prescribed to do so. Here are some guidelines on how you can achieve this. CPAP Cleaning

(1) Keep it clean every day

Of course, it is very important to keep your unit clean every single day. Most guides will tell you to wipe them off simply with a clean rag or soak it in water. There are, however, easier options. For one, you can make use of cleaning sprays made specifically for CPAP use and cleaning. All you need to do is use these sprays and wipe them off with wet wipes and you will be done for the day.

(2) One full maintenance every week

You need to make sure that your CPAP Mask as well as the actual unit is maintained once a week. This means that you have to clean it fully using the water and soap method. While you may have been cleaning it every single day with the spray and the wipes, it may still not be enough to do just that and it is advisable to clean it at least once a week as well as to check on the mask and unit parts to see if it needs any sort of repair or replacement.

(3) Keep it in a proper storage
There are storages that are available specifically for CPAP. There are, in fact, cabinets and drawers that have been fashioned in order to fit every piece of the equipment. However, if you find this too taxing and do not want to shell any more cash than you already have, then you can just vacate a drawer or a cabinet that you already have and store it there.
